ANDREW M. HUTTER, M.D., F.A.C.S
Dr.
Hutter is a Board Certified Orthopaedic surgeon whose practice spans
the full spectrum of orthopaedics. This includes fractures, arthritic
conditions, neck and back pain and athletic injuries. While he enjoys
the practice of general orthopaedics, he has an area of special expertise
in musculoskeletal pain management and Lumbar Spine disorders.
His treatment for these conditions includes a complete
range of orthopaedic services from physical therapy and medication to
surgery.
Dr. Hutter performs his own epidural steroid injections
and is one of the few orthopaedic surgeons skilled in a relatively new
procedure called epiduroscopy. This latter procedure allows for added
diagnostic information and specific therapeutic treatment of various
lumbar spine conditions. Dr. Hutter has lectured extensively around
the country and taught many physicians the technique of epiduroscopy.
Dr. Hutter is also a trained and certified acupuncturist.
He received his training through UCLA. He has incorporated acupuncture
into his orthopaedic practice for a variety of conditions that range
from chronic pain to acute sprains and strains. He has been appointed
to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Committee on Complementary
and Alternative Medicine. The focus of this committee is to educate
the public and orthopaedic surgeons regarding the use and abuse of modalities
such as acupuncture, herbal medications, and magnet therapy, among others.
Dr. Hutter also enjoys treating athletic injuries.
He serves as the Assistant Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the NY/NJ Metrostars
professional soccer team, and previously, the NJ Gladiators of the Arena
Football League and the NJ Storm of the Indoor Lacrosse League.
